It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Nepali National Convention 2019 in the beautiful city of Baltimore, Maryland on 4th of July weekend, July 5, 6 & 7, 2019.
As given continuation of national conventional tradition, this year Association of Nepalis in Americas (ANA), Association of Nepalese in Midwest America (ANMA), International Nepalese Literary Society (INLS) and Baltimore Nepali Association (BANA) are keeping its promises by joining hands with the bigger community through Nepali National Convention and going beyond our regional existence.

On behalf of Greater ANA family and first ever National Convention, I would like to extend seasonal greetings and welcome everyone to Beautiful City Baltimore. Whereas we, Association of Nepali in America (ANA), Association of Nepalese in Mid West America (ANMA), and International Nepalese Literary Society (INLS) are collectively organizing the Second National Convention in North America in Baltimore from July 5th to July 7th, 2019. Baltimore Nepali Association (BANA) is the proud of host of 2019 National Convention.

अमेरिकाको आसन्न नेपाली राष्ट्रीय भेला २०१९ को शुभ अवसरमा मेरिल्याण्डको सुन्दर नगरी बाल्टिमोरमा सहभागी हुने यहाँहरू सबैलाई अन्तराष्ट्रीय नेपाली साहित्य समाज ( अनेसास ) को अध्यक्ष भएको हैसियतले हाम्रो समाजको तर्फबाट हार्दिक स्वागत र अभिनन्दन छ।

On behalf of the executive committee of Baltimore Association of Nepalese in America (BANA), I welcome you to the Nepali National Convention 2019 in Baltimore, MD during this Independence Day weekend (July 5 – July 7).
This is a special convention for all of us because the biggest Nepali organizations in the USA, Association of Nepalis in Americas (ANA), Association of Nepalese in Mid West (ANMA) and International Nepalese Literary Society (INLS) is organizing this convention.
Tulsi Dharel was born in the country of Mt. Everest in a middle class family that always leveraged him from being an initiator and activist in helping change people lives. He has been a leader, manger and advocate in last 25+ years of his successful career.

Professionally, I hold a PhD degree in plant biochemistry and plant biology from University of Hannover, Germany. I came to USA to work as a post-doctoral researcher in University and Research Organization. Then I moved to Industry initially in a plant biotech company and recently in a Pharmaceutical company as R&D Scientist. I have strong desire to network with people and work together in a community.
Bijay Raj Bhattarai is currently serving as the General Secretary of Association of Nepalis in the Americas (ANA). He has completed his Masters in Computer Science and Engineering as well as another degree in Masters in Managerial Science (Leadership & Management) and is working as a Sr. Engineer in Big Data Technology. He is also an entrepreneur and running an IT business and tutoring institute based in Dallas, Texas.
He is a highly motivated social worker and has served in many organization to help the people. He has been involved in social services for almost three decades and has held numerous high level office positions on a local and national level in order to serve his community.
Mr. Bhattarai has published his first story collection book on January 14th, 1993. He has written and published over five dozen articles and won many national level awards. He is a lyricist and columnist as well. He has lived in the USA for 13 years and currently lives in Coppell, Texas with family. He has a wife, one son and one daughter.
As a Budget and Finance Director, it is my great honor to invite and welcome all of you to the Nepali National Convention-2019 to be held in a beautiful city of Baltimore from July 5 through July 7. This convention is our unique tradition, which is the largest annual gathering of diaspora in the Americas and held in different cities across the country around the July 4th weekend. The main objective of this convention is to stimulate intellectual, provide entertainment and create professional and business networking opportunities to the diverse groups of individuals from different parts of the country. This convention acts as a platform to amalgamate, reconcile and integrate different opinions and voices for the benefits and development of our community with respect and integrity. Thus, please don’t miss this golden opportunity. This is your convention, and your participation is a big support and backing for us.
With the help our Finance Committee, I will do my best to develop and execute a reasonable budget to the 2019 Nepali National Convention. I shall ensure good financial health and transparency with appropriate financial and managerial recommendations to the Convention team as I successfully demonstrated in the 2011 ANA Convention in the Greater Washington DC area. My primary goal is to coordinate with all committees to ensure an effective budgetary discipline and obtain positive financial results with a large number of participation and satisfaction. The financial reports of the convention will disclose to the public through its website and mass-email system as soon as all accounting books are close.
Let’s come and join us to make this convention a grand success with lots of entertainment. Your participation is one of the key ingredients for the success of the convention.
